So what started as a private joke amongst 4 senior Club members playing Night Owl Bowls, has caused a stir. Who knew that these caps would be the talk of the town so heres an opportunity to get one of your own.

Call for Winter Volunteer Bar Staff

To support Club operations in the winter months we would like to implement a Volunteer Bar Staff Roster. 

The roster is for Saturday afternoons onlyrunning from June to August.

Candidates must

  • Be a Current Member; and hold
  • Responsible Persons Badge and Responsible Service of Alcohol Cert; or
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Cert

If you meet these requirements and are interested in helping please contact Paul at pres@semaphoreslsc.com.au or text 0459 442 802 by Sunday 29th May 2022.

Volunteers will receive all training and support to perform the role.  

If you don’t hold a qualification, OR have any questions or interest to learn more please let Paul know.

Pool Rescue – Come and Try

A Come and Try Pool Rescue session is scheduled for Tuesday 31st May, 7-8pm at the Parks Recreation & Sports Centre (46 Cowan St, Angle Park SA 5010). All welcome, but please Click HERE to register as there is limited spots available.

The Come and Try session is free, however participants are required to pay a pool entry fee on arrival.

What is Pool Rescue? Pool Rescue is a series of different events conducted in the pool showcasing lifesaving skills which include swimming, towing and rope throwing to name a few. Some highlights from last year’s state champs can be found here.

Athletes will need to bring their own swim gear including rubber fins and water for hydration.

Pool rescue carnivals and state champ dates for 2022 are listed as below and available on the calendar.

Carnival 1- Friday 27th May 2022 – Closing this Wednesday 25th May at 10am
Carnival 2- Sunday 5th June 2022
Carnival 3- Friday 17th June 2022
State Champs- Saturday 2nd (U15-Open only) & Sunday 3rd July 2022 (U11s – Masters)
