Largs Bay Swim Centre – New Club Sponsor

We welcome Largs Bay Swim Center as a Bronze Sponsor of Semaphore SLSC. Many of our Club’s members have enjoyed a long relationship with the Center and this has lead to this great business coming on board as official Club Sponsors.

Many of our Nippers currently enjoy the learn to swim classes with some already graduated to the squad programs and as such have joined the majority of our Youth and Senior competitors.

In fact we would urge any Nipper wanting to be successful in surf competition, if not currently undertaking learn to swim or squad sessions, to do so. It is one of the most important skills in Surf Life Saving. Just because you can stay afloat in a pool doesn’t mean you can complete a 150m open water proficiency swim.

We even have a Club swim nights as part of the centre’s Aussies Squad on Wednesday nights from 7pm, or once graduated from the learn to swim program we have a squad for our Nippers simply to assist in building endurance for surf swimming.

Contact the Centre on 8341 6062 to ask about the right session for you or your children.

With over 12 years in the Real Estate industry, Chris prides himself on his genuine and transparent approach to selling property. Chris has spent most of his life in the western suburbs and over the years involved himself in many sporting clubs as a volunteer namely Semaphore SLSC, Largs Bay Sailing Club and Port Adelaide District Hockey Club.
Chris is well connected and has a reputation as being honest, reliable and he acts with integrity. He has strong negotiation and communication skills and feels passionate about assisting people with one of the most important decisions in their life – selling their home.  Chris has an extensive knowledge and an innate understanding of the area’s unique property market and has developed and maintains strong long-term relationships with his clients.  How does Real Estate Rewards work?

If a club member is considering selling their property OR knows someone that is considering selling their property, Chris SIMPLY ASKS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY to have his name put forward so that he can introduce himself to the prospective sellers (vendors) and offer his services.

Chris can provide an honest obligation free appraisal of the property.  He will provide an unbiased opinion based on experience, up to date area and industry information and past sales of similar properties in the area.   He can also assist the vendor in preparing the property for sale and determine a sales strategy and marketing plan of their home.

Chris can offer very competitive rates on both commission and property marketing.

The club will receive a donation on behalf of the Vendor and Chris Main upon sale and settlement of the vendors’ property.

As an additional complimentary service to club members, Chris is happy to help or provide advice on purchasing a property, buying at auction or any real estate services you require.

Ladies! It’s your time to shine

dl_invitation_template-image-003Ladies it is your time to shine. Surf Life Saving SA has introduced their #surfsisterslevelup social media campaign. This campaign is designed encourage and motivate SA women to get involved or enrich their experience in Surf Lifesaving and take it to the next level.

Anyone can level up and you can choose to level up in any way that suits you.

For example; A Nipper Mum might want to do her Bronze Medallion, a Beachie might want to have a crack at rowing boats, you might do the next level up in your first aid training or put your hand up for a leadership role at your club or decide to start your journey as a coach or an official.
click on the links below for some inspiration and opportunities to level up this season!

Can you cook sausages?

Can you bake Cupcakes?

Semaphore SLSC is putting on a BBQ at the club for the Port Districts SAPSASA cross country on Tuesday 15th September to raise money for the upcoming season.

Volunteers are required to help cook the BBQ as well as serve Drinks and Cupcakes to the kids after their races.

The event goes from 9.30am to 1.30pm so if you can spare 1 hour, or the morning,  your help will be greatly appreciated.

We will also be selling home made Cupcakes so if you can bake up a dozen it would be appreciated.

Please contact Brad (0412 073 688) or Trudy (0408 824 789) to let us know how you can assist us with this event.
