IRB crew hard at work for our safety!

While most of us steer clear of the waters during the Winter months, our Sema4 IRB Crew & Drivers have been busy working hard to improve their skills in preparation for a Summer of safe waters and sunny days.

Ian Biggs, Amy Buck, Ward Hennig, Sam Jarvis and father daughter duo Lilija and Brenton Zampatti have been busy being put through their paces; undertaking their IRB Crew course at West Beach SLSC. This dedicated group of clubbies have been out in the waters and on land, learning how to keep our club, our beaches and the public safer for the warmer months ahead.

IRB Driver training has also been well underway; with Lily Sibley and father son duo Brad and Connor Tunbridge (and some crew from Henley SLSC) learning how to navigate the waters safely in tricky conditions. You can appreciate the skillset needed to be able to manoeuvre the IRB carefully in all water situations.

Shout out to the wonderful trainers Neil Bisset, Steve Harris, Mick Jarvis, Mick Kenny and Wanga Robbins for all of their wisdom and assistance in educating the current crew on the ins and outs of IRB life. Your knowledge and time is much needed and appreciated.

Thank you to all of you for your continuous hard work, we look forward to watching your skills in action on patrol down at Semaphore SLSC!!
