Please note that only U9’s to U13’s who completed their 150m evaluation swim last season can attend (i.e. if you competed in boards last year at a carnival, you have it).
RnR also starts this week, Saturday 23 October.

As you know, we have provided water cover for special events and school groups in the past and we have had a couple of enquiries about doing so again this summer. We are looking for patrol members (SRC or Bronze) to assist with three events we have coming up:
Kozii Enduro at West Lakes on Sunday 31/10/21 0800 – 1500. We need an IRB driver and crew. This is a great opportunity for our new drivers and crew to practice their new skills.
Salisbury North Primary School on Wednesday 1/12/21 0900 – 1400 at Semaphore Jetty. This is the refugee school group we have helped before and are an amazing bunch of kids and helping them has been one of the highlights of my time in surf life saving. There will be about 70 students and teacher so we will need an IRB driver and crew and SRC and Bronzies to be on boards and tubes. The more we get the better for this one.
Hope Christian College on Tuesday 7/12/21 1000 – 1400 at Point Malcolm Reserve. This is a big one with 170 students and teachers. They go in the water in groups so we will need an IRB crew and as many SRC and Bronze as we can get. Like last time they have asked us to cook a BBQ so we need some helpers for that as well as some people to assist with some beach activities.
We have easily done this in the past and it is a great way for the club to earn some extra money to go towards new equipment etc. If you are able to help out please let me know as soon as you can – especially for the Kozii Enduro for which I would like some names by this Friday.

Yes our Canteen will be open for business this weekend from 9am through to around 1pm with a post trainning BBQ planned for all our Nippers and Parents.
Come and get a scrumptious breakfast or perhaps arrive early for Nippers and grab lunch before trainning. You never know what our boys in the canteen have cooked up for you to enjoy, Cheese Toasties and Cold Rolls are always a favourite but whats special this week, Snitty rolls, Salt & Pepper Squid, something completely new??? Theres even vegetarian options. Theres always something different on offer.

Semaphore SLSC ‘s 2021/22 Come and Try Program Kicks off this Saturday
If your aged 5 – 12 years old and interested in trying surf life saving? Come down to the Semaphore SLSC club and join our Come and Try Program!
The Semaphore Come and Try Program costs $20 and allows Nippers new to surf life saving to attend 3 Saturday sessions anytime between October and December.
The $20 will be deducted from your membership if you decide to sign up for the rest of the season (mid March 2022).
You can register from 11am most Saturdays during the Nipper season. It is a good idea to arrive early to complete the waiver and health forms or short cut the process by downloading the letter, waiver, health and asthma (if applicable) forms from the website and fill them out before you come, as it can get busy, especially at the start of the season.
Nipper training kicks off for the season on Saturday the 16th October, 12:45pm to 3pm.

Semaphore Nipper Training for Season 2021/22 starts on Saturday 16th of October. We are all set for another great season of fun, surf ed and competition on the beach.

Come and Try sign up will be downstairs near the uniform shop from 11am on the 16th Oct to assist if you have any issues with the process. Please be early!!

Information regarding changes to carnival structure has been advised for the 2021/22 Season
There is a change in format this season, the first two carnivals being “Branch Carnivals”, with Semaphore, North Haven, Grange, Henley, and West Beach Clubs making up the Western Branch.
The change in format and time is aimed at encouraging greater participation from those Nippers who have yet to compete in a carnival and it provides an opportunity to build their confidence.
Branch Carnival #1 – Saturday 20th November
U8 – U10 SEMAPHORE SLSC
U11 – U13 WEST BEACH SLSC
Branch Carnival #2 – Saturday 11th December
U6 – U7 NORTH HAVEN SLSC
U8 – U10 GRANGE SLSC
U11 – U13 HENLEY SLSC
Each carnival will run during Nipper the normal training time on a Saturday commencing at around 1pm.
