Mid Coast Community Challenge

The Mid Coast Community Challenge is on next Sunday, 19th January. Hosted by Port Noarlunga SLSC, the Mid Coast Challenge is an opportunity for age groups starting at U9s through to Masters to take part in an iron person event on the unique M shaped course.

Competitors can enter as individuals or as teams. There is also a 1km swim & Youth Group team swim event.

Members draw goes off

Congratulations to Aiden Hall for being at the Club to pick up the Members Draw Jackpot of $350. Be sure to be there Friday night for your chance to win!

Bushfire Appeal

50% of this Friday evening’s bistro takings will be donated to the Bushfire Appeal.

Raffles and donation cans will also be available at the bar from Thursday to help raise much needed funds.

All proceeds from the BBQ after Nippers this week (sausage in bread $2; can of drink $2; and ice blocks $1) will go towards this initiative.

Please come along and help us support others in the community that have suffered great hardship in the recent events.

January junior carnival cancelled

PLEASE NOTE: the junior carnival scheduled for the 26th January has been cancelled due to the likely inability to meet the resource needs for the event (water cover, officials etc) due to a reduced number of clubs participating.

The proposed BBQ and family fun activities to be held at Semaphore following the carnival have also been cancelled.

The next junior carnival will be held on Sunday 16th February at Normanville.

We are gearing up the last half of the season with some more planning to be done to get us to the end. Stay tuned for news regarding a date for Club Championships, a fun Team Training Day, Junior Carnival 4 (Normanville), and the run up to State Champs.

Training Timetable

Board Training – 4:45pm Friday – Sign-in and grab a board on the southern side the club. (proficiencies required)

Under 13 – R & R Training (includes U13 and U12 Age Groups) 10:00am Saturday 11th January – Meet coach Raelene on the southern side of the club.

Under 11 – R&R Training (includes U11 and U10 Age Groups) 11:00am Saturday 11th January – Meet coach Raelene on the grass on the southern side of the club.

March Past Training – 12pm Saturday 11th January meeting on the southern side the club.

Nipper Training – 12:45pm Saturday 11th January muster on the southern side of club.

Calendar Changes

Junior Carnival 3 scheduled for January 26th has been cancelled and as a result the plans for the after carnival Family Fun Day back at the Club will also be cancelled.

Post Training BBQ Proceeds to go to Bushfire Appeal

All the proceeds from this weekends post training BBQ will go to Our Clubs fundraising for the Bushfire Appeal.

Nippers Disco – 8th February

Save the Date! A Nipper disco is scheduled for 6pm on Saturday 8th February. DJ Biggsy will spin some tunes and there will be Pizza and and ice blocks for everyone. Stay tuned for more info.

Australian Freestyle Kiteboarding Titles – Australia Day weekend

Semaphore SLSC is hosting the Australian Freestyle Kiteboarding Titles this Australia Day weekend.

IRB, ATV, Bronze Medallion and SRC qualified members are needed to assist with water cover on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th from 8.00am start until noon.

Come on down and watch Australia’s premier Kiteboarders in action.

They have finally landed!!

The uniform shop now stocks a fantastic new COOL casual top in both adult and kids sizes, and three styles: T-shirt / Muscle Shirt / Singlet.

More importantly this fantastic new merch. has been responsibly sourced and is made from recycled water bottles and cotton.
