For those of you that hang on to your Office of Recreation Sport and Racing Sports Vouchers to discount your Surf Life Saving Membership there is some great news that you may have already heard.
What is the Sports Vouchers program?
The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. The program provides an opportunity for children from Reception to Year 9 to receive up to a $100 discount (per year) on various sports and activities. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport or participating in dance or learn to swim activities by reducing cost as a barrier.

Who is eligible for the program?
All South Australian children in Reception to Year 9 are eligible from 1 January 2022. This means if a child is 5 (or becoming 5 in the calendar year) to 15 years old are eligible. Remember it is one voucher for each eligible child per calendar year. In 2022, eligible children will have a year of birth from 2007 to 2017.
How does it work?
IF you haven’t already claimed your child’s/children’s Sports Voucher this year on another activity when you Renew your Membership or Join the Club for the first time select the associated membership category and price that is appropriate to you.
For example for a Junior joining for the first time who also has a valid Sports Voucher to claim select ‘$105 – Junior – New – Junior with Sports Voucher’. Then go to the Sports Voucher (CLICK HERE) fill it in online and email it to registrar@semaphoreslsc.com.au complete the rest of the joining process payment and pay the required fee.
The Sports Voucher will then be claimed by the Club Registrar from ORSR. If rejected it is expected that thew shortfall will be made up ASAP.
