The Low Down on Semaphore Heroes

Whilst attending a work function for the Adelaide Submarine Corporation last Saturday evening two of our members and age groups managers from our junior club Aaron & Kirsty Low parents of McKenzie (U12) & Bill (U10) had a colleague attending the function suffer the misfortune of having a Heart Attack where Aaron & Kirsty rendered assistance with an off duty nurse and commenced CPR on the unconscious patient , with no signs of life from the patient they used an onsite portable Defibrillation Unit and after two “shocks” the gentleman regained conscious and was made comfortable until the arrival of Paramedics who took over and relieved our Club Members.

Thankfully the patient is recovering well in hospital and we are very proud to have Aaron & Kirsty members of the Semaphore Surf Life Saving Club.

As with all Surf Life Saving Members this is a great example that first aid is not just along our coastal beaches , great effort guys.
