Quiz night needs your donations

Saturday November Club Quiz night is fast approaching and we are seeking donations for prizes and silent auction items.

Last year’s quiz night was a great success, raising approximately $3500, and we would like to make this year’s even better. With the redevelopment coming up in 2018 the club is needing to raise funds to put towards this venture and other projects in and around the club.

If you would like to contribute in the way of prizes, vouchers, goods or services or in any other way you can think of, please contact Carmel Kenny on 0402241841 or Dot Moffatt on 0407415008 or catch up with one of us around the club.

There are many roles to play within our Club.  As it is run by volunteers we are asking our members to consider supporting by taking up an official role.  We appreciate many people are time poor but it’s important that we all pitch in in some way.

 

Meantime the slab has been poured for our new Rescue Facility. It’s anticipated the official opening will occur on the season’s first day in October. Construction completion expected in less than 10 weeks.

Awards at the Palais

Annual Dinner and Awards Night at the Palais

Save the date in your diary for The Semaphore SLSC Annual Dinner and Awards night to be held on Saturday 24 June 2017 at “The Deck” Semaphore Palais. Tickets are $50 each and tables of 10 available but limited to a maximum of 160 guests. Tickets will be available for purchase through Try Booking shortly. Tickets must be purchased by 16 June in order to finalise numbers. All tickets purchased by 5 June will go into a draw for one lucky members cost of their ticket to be refunded. Further information will be released shortly regarding start time, format and how to purchase tickets.

Sundays Footy Function, Port vs Gold Coast China Game

Come and watch the Power take on the Gold Coast in China on the big screen at the club on Sunday, May 14th. Club and bar open from 2pm. Game starts at 2.45pm.
$5 pints and wine and Chinese beer specials will be available. Nibbles also available to sustain you throughout the match. If you’ve got something with an Asian feel wear it or
bring it and get into the spirit (or spirits if your team isn’t looking good). We will hold the Members Draw, which currently sits at $900, during the half time break. Remember, you have to be present to win that.

Port vs Gold Coast China Game

The first regular season AFL game to be played in China with Port taking on Gold Coast coming up in a couple of weeks, and we will have the game on the big screen. There will be food and drink specials on, so if you were unable to make the journey, come down and watch it at the club.
