Boats Corner

Great turn out for the carnival at Southport with six team. There was not much surf with an offshore breeze giving the competitors a hard row out and back.  Thanks To Neil for Jetski Cover and Dean for looking after the many Kids on the beach. Special mention to the 2^nd Reserve ladies team with their first Carnival as a team – well done ladies.

Results were:

U19 Mens – 2^nd

U23s Women – equal 3^rd

Reserve JACCOs – 2^nd in the final, 1^st for the 3 rounds

Reserve TROGs – TBA

Reserve Women Angry Birds – equal 4^th

Reserve Women 2nd team – 6^th

Disappointed with the turn out for Packing and cleaning the equipment after the events – no junior teams at either.

Remember the next carnival is state selection 17 Jan, location TBA. Will be for the U19s and U23s.

The New Boat Naming ceremony will take place on the 6^th Feb in conjunction with the presentation for the iron person.
