Last weekend was the second carnival of the season, we were greeted with significantly better conditions and much warmer weather than the Seacliff carnival, unfortunately, no surf though. We started with our U17 marchpast representing us on the course and doing us proud with 4th off little preparation.

The events flowed well throughout the day, with our youth racing really well, including our U14s racing hard and often beating the U15s in the team events. We also had a small bunch of girls in the U17-open age groups that came out and gave everything they could a crack, raced well, had some fun and even scored some points towards the overall state championship.

As usual, a big thankyou to our officials, we wouldn’t be able to compete without them, Greg McKenzie for towing the trailer and all the parents that helped managed the various areas and make sure all our competitors didn’t miss their races. Also, a thank you to the competitors from other clubs that helped us out with composite teams when we couldn’t fill our own teams.

The next carnival is in less than two weeks at Moana on the 3rd of December
