Semaphore SLSC, founded in 1953 is a not for profit organisation supporting our local community.

We have over 550 members with the majority actively participating in patrolling and competition areas.  We patrol 4,500+ hours a year protecting and supporting our community along 6km of coastline spanning the Charles Sturt and Port Adelaide Enfield Councils from October to April and are available all year round for emergency response.

Our surf sport programs cater to nippers (5 to 13 years) and includes our Seabirds, children with additional needs program, youth (13 to 17 years), senior and masters athletes in both beach and surf events.  We compete against other surf clubs at regular carnivals throughout the year culminating in our State titles.  We also attend the Australian Titles ‘Aussies’ every year.

We support Surf Life Saving SA junior and senior carnivals, multiple end of year school excursions, education programs, and community events from Open Water Swimming Championships to Carols by the Lake, all possible through our volunteering ethos.

Commercially we operate bar, bistro and function facilities offering a casual environment, great value with exceptional views, open to members and the general public.
