MORE INFO TO COME

Competition Proficiencies

At this point in the season it is important to understand the following:

Only Nippers that have achieved all required Competencies for their Age Group and have competed in at least 1 of the 3 Junior Carnivals will be eligible to be entered in the Junior State Championship Carnivals. Competencies include both Swimming Proficiency Tests and Surf Education Modules. To understand the required competencies please speak to your Age Group Manager.

RnR State Championships – Semaphore SLSC

RnR State Championships for Juniors and Seniors will be held at Semaphore SLSC on 22nd January 2020 from around 9am to 4pm, with clubs from around the state visiting our club to compete.

There’s lots of things to organise before hand and we will need lots of help on the day to pull off this event. We will be looking for volunteers to assist in several different areas. Breakfast cookers/servers, beach working party for event setup and pack-up and first-aid tent staff, just to name a few areas where help will be required. Please e-mail juniorsec@semaphoreslsc.com.au to indicate if you can help.

More info to follow

2020 Junior Club Championships

Junior Club Championships will be held on Saturday 22nd of February during our normal training session. Standard individual carnival events will be run for each Age Group and a champion crowned for each discipline after training upstairs at the club.

A full timetable of activities for this event will be will be available soon.

2020 Inaugural Junior Teams Day

On the 29th of February Semaphore SLSC will will launch a new era for our Junior program. This event will be run during the normal Nipper training session however there will be a major difference. All Nippers, Age Group Managers and Assistants will be allocated across a number (TBD) of teams which will compete against each other for the coveted….. (well it will be coveted) Brian Donnell Perpetual Trophy.

The events will be varied with Surf Life Saving events and fun events and will include all, even our littlest Nippers.

Teams will be named after club stalwarts bringing together our history and our future. If available, they will be invited to be there on the day as team captains.

Presentation of the Brian Donnell Perpetual Trophy, and bragging rights until season 2020/21, will be made afterwards upstairs at the club.

If your not involved with Nippers, come on down and be a part of this great event.
