Nippers have an opportunity to do their proficiency swim in what looks to be ideal conditions this Friday (5 November) at 4:30pm.
All nippers U8 and above who have not yet completed their proficiency swim, as well as anyone keen on some extra swim training are encourage to attend.
Board training will resume immediately after swim training at 5pm this week. Please meet on the beach.
We are excited to hear news that we have been successful in being awarded a 2021 CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grant. We will receive $10,000 to support the vital work we do in the community.
Thank you to the staff at CommBank who participate in Workplace Giving – this grant wouldn’t be possible without you! A very big thank you to former Club and Board member Peter Adams for nominating the Club.
The funds will be used to purchase a trailer to transport our accessible beaches equipment and nipper boards for the Seabirds program.

Semaphore SLSC is hosting Junior branch carnival #2 on Saturday 20th November and we are going to need an army of volunteers to help with everything from beach setup/pack up, officials, water cover and BBQ.

The Nipper water safety certificate course is a new certificate aimed at encouraging parents/guardians to participate in water safety at club level for Nipper activities. The Certificate is designed as a stepping stone for parents and guardians who are new to Surf Life Saving and are looking for an entry-level pathway to participate/help with Nippers without committing to a full Bronze Medallion.

Nipper Board training has been CANCELLED this week as coaches have personal commitments and SLSA training. U13 Age Group are invited to train with the Seniors at the usual time, meeting on the lawn at the front of the club.
