Looking for volunteers to help out this Saturday at an event for the City of Adelaide Clipper Ship in Port Adelaide. Needing people to be both in an IRB and on the shore. 10pm-5pm, hoping if we get enough volunteers we can do shifts rather than keeping the same people on all day. Please contact Georgia on 0408841160 or Neil on 0417478512 for more info or if you can help out for a few hours.

Throughout season 2013/14 the Semaphore SLSC Board of Management has been undertaking a process of updating the constitution. The updated version of the constitution has been developed using the best practice templates provided by Surf Lifesaving Australia and Surf Lifesaving South Australia. A number of other clubs in South Australia have already adopted this template. By adopting a constitution that aligns with the state and national bodies, Semaphore SLSC will ensure that all of its policies and procedures remain up to date. The Board of Management is now seeking feedback on the draft constitution. There will also be an information session for interested members to discuss the draft in detail. The aim is to send out the final draft constitution to members with the Agenda for the 2014 AGM. The updated constitution can then be discussed and voted on at the AGM.
Anyone interested in taking part in the IRB Carnival at Somerton this Sunday morning (4th if May) please contact Ryan Sullivan (IRB Captain) on 0407 375 799 or RSullivan@blubuilt.com.au
Looking for IRB drivers, crew members and patients!
Be on the beach at 7:30am for a 9am start and events should be wrapped up by lunchtime.
Should be a great day, would love to see as many Semaphore spectators down there supporting our crews!
Congratulations to our Bronze (Andy, Alice, Chelsea, Courtney, Darryl, Declan, Joy, Megan, Tom) and SRC (Seth & Zoe) candidates who passed their assessment recently. Thanks to all who provided watercover and to North Haven SLSC for the use of their Club. A special thank you to all the trainers involved in training this group, your hard work and dedication is really appreciated! Looking forward to seeing you all on the beach next season!
North Haven SLSC have asked if Semaphore are able to send down some Bronze Members to assist with water cover this Saturday Morning for the Break Water to Break Water Swim. Semaphore are already providing an IRB but need a couple of addtional members. Would need assistance from 8am until completion (shouldnt be too long) and theres a free feed and drinks available at the North Haven Club after for any volutneers. If you are available to lend a hand please let Georgia Robbins on 0408841160 or Neil Bisset on 0417478512 know ASAP. Cheers!
