Semaphore SLSC on Channel 10’s “Whats up Down Under”
As explained in a recent post channel 10 sent a TV crew down to Semaphore SLSC to feature on “What’s Up Down Under”.
We have now been told when our segment will air on TV
7th of June – will feature Adleaide, Skydiving and the Adelaide Beachfront Caravan Park
14th of June – Semaphore SLSC and Clare Valley
28th of June – Clare Valley and Whyalla
So keep a watch out on these Saturday afternoons to see Semaphore SLSC on Channel 10!
Friday 6th of June Bistro Curry Night
On Friday the 6th of June (long weekend) the Semaphore SLSC Bistro will be having a Curry Night! There will be a choice of three curries:
– Beef : Mild/Hot
– Butter Chicken : Mild
– Vegie : Mild
*Please note there will be no other meals available*
Life Membership – Call for Nominations
The Life Membership Committee is now calling for nominations for Life Membership. The Committee will meet to consider nominations before they are presented to the Board of Management for endorsement. Following endorsement from the Board of Management, nominations will then be presented to members at the Annual General Meeting for consideration.
Who is eligible?
Life Membership may be granted to members who have rendered sustained, distinguished, conspicuous, and/or special service to the club.
Nominations:
A nomination must be submitted in writing and seconded by a bronze medallion holder. Nominations can be presented to any member of the Life Membership Committee by 30 June or emailed to dalewelsh0@gmail.com

Interview on Semaphore SLSC and the 60th Jubilee Celebration!
A number of months ago Neil took part in an interview with Connor McLeod from UniSA. Its a great piece on our club and the important part we play in the community!
‘Whats Up Down Under’ Filming at Semaphore SLSC
A couple of weeks ago we had we had Channel 10 send down a TV Crew from ‘Whats Up Down Under’ to film a segment about Semaphore SLSC. Our very own Neil Bisset was interviewed, they did a sky dive and Neil and JT even took the TV Presenter for a ride in the IRB. Our section should feature in a couple of weeks time on a Saturday Afternoon on Channel 10 so keep a look out!
Live Music at Semaphore SLSC!
Regular live music is coming to Semaphore SLSC!
Acoustic Duo ‘Trav and Dave’ will be playing at the club this Sunday (25th of May) from 4:30-7:30pm.
There will also be live music on the following dates:

Blue Illusion Fundraiser for SSLSC Invite
Blue Illusion – West Lakes Boutique are holding a fundraising event in order to raise funds for Semaphore SLSC.
This event includes a fashion show, nibbles and a chance to purchase clothing, just in time for the Presidents Cocktail Party! 20% of all sales made will go straight to our club!

Surf and Mal Camp
Nick Penny has received confirmation from Chiton Rocks. The camp will be on the 4th and 5th of July and will cost $22 per night per person as well as a $100 cleaning fee paid as a group. Will be first in best dressed. If interested contact Nick Penny on 0423 757 900
