Have a Bunnings Christmas Eve!

Seeking volunteers for another Bunnings BBQ fundraising opportunity.  We’ve been lucky enough to secure a big money maker – Christmas Eve, one of Bunnings’ busiest days of the year.

If you’d like to get into the Festive Spirit and volunteer some time to help the Club raise some funds contact pat Hansen on 0422007413.

Volunteers needed for Christmas Carols

Volunteers neded to help our friends at Westlakes Rotary Club set up and pack for their annual Christmas Carols

When: Sunday 9 December at 8.30am setup and then 9pm pack up

Where: The reserve opposite The Bartley Tavern, Bartley Terrace

Many hands make light work, so the more bodies we have the quicker we can get the job done. The Rotary Club has been very generous to the Club in the past and again will make a donation to the club as a thank you for our assistance.

Even if you only have an hour or so to spare please contact Adam Sikorski on 0439 811 746 or treasurer@semaphoreslsc.com.au if you are able to help out on the day.

Call for Volunteers – Sunday 28th October 2018

The 2018 ‘Trailblazer by the Sea’ Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday 28th of October and our club has been asked to support a Check-In Station for the competing athletes.  We will need to be set up from 6:15am with the first runner/walkers commencing at 7.30am and a second wave commencing from 9.30am.  This should see us packed up and finished by mid morning.

Trailblazer by the Sea has been created as a fund raising, running and walking, event by the Rotary Club of Adelaide together with the Surf Life Saving Association of South Australia, two organisations that share values, and have a long history of achieving positive outcomes in the community.

All donations raised go directly to support Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Surf Lifesaving in SA and the Community Charity work of the Rotary Club of Adelaide.

For further information on the event go to www.runningcalendar.com.au/event/trailblazer-by-the-sea/

If you can assist please let Paul Breden know on 0459 442 802 or via email patrols@semaphoreslsc.com.au

Social and Fund Raising Committee

Social and Fundraising Committee

It’s been a while since the club had a social and fundraising committee but we would like to start this important group up again.

If you have any ideas for social events and/or fundraising – or would just like to be involved we would welcome you joining this new group.

We will not be asking for too much of your time with the first priority to plan a calendar of events and activities for members and supporters (young and old).

An informal meeting will be held upstairs at the club on Sunday 21st October at 3pm for those that are interested in joining in.

For further information please give Pat Hansen a call on 0422 007 413 or email at phansen@adam.com.au.

Cross Country BBQ and Cake Stall a hit again!

Thank you to all of those who either volunteered or made items for the Club’s SAPSASA Cross Country BBQ and Cake stall.  As in previous years it was a huge success with the hungry runners.  Parents and teachers also sneaking a sausage or two and cupcake.  An extra thank you to Brad and Trudy Tunbridge who organised the event.  Our Club is a success because of its members.

Entertainment Books 2018

We are once again selling the entertainment books to help raise as much as we can this year. Last years books have just expired and the new book is once again filled with a bunch of great deals, just have a look below at some of the deals!

As per usual, we are fundraising through both the hard copy entertainment book, and the digital version, follow the links below to order your version. We aren’t storing any books at the club during our rebuild, but pickup from the shed can be organised through Sean McKenzie, who’s contact details are on the order link.
